Artwork Story: A woman spreading her arms upwards and dispatching two doves of peace. Her feet are firmly planted in the earth while her body stretches up to the sky. In this artwork, as in many others, Victor expresses his longing for peace and friendship between all people. In the 90’s, this artwork was chosen to represent the opening of the worldwide largest art exhibition at the Jacob Javits convention center in New York. For the exhibition, the sculpture was enlarged to be 4 meters high and was cast in iron. It is one of the finest sculptures created by the artist, and was an inspiration to his other peace-themed sculptures that followed.
