Artwork Story: The sculpture consists of a single spiraling line, which depicts a flamenco dancer. The protagonist of the opera Carmen, dancing with fiery passion, amazed the artist. Immediately after coming out of the opera, he drew a sketch that soon became a sculpture. The Carmen sculpture conveys the upward spiral movement and the elegance of the flamenco dance. In its utter simplicity, the sculpture is mesmerizing, calling its observer to follow the eternal movement.
