Artwork Story: The Blessing sculpture consists of two figures, standing very close to each other without touching. The sculpture belongs to the artist’s solid style and it radiates stability, strength, trust and surrender. Victor did not relate The Blessing sculpture to any specific religion or culture, but left it open to the observer’s interpretation. It conveys the universal values, common to all religions and cultures worldwide. Victor grew up in a traditional Jewish home in Egypt, in which the father figure inspired respect and trust. He passed on these values to his children, alongside values of freedom and creativity. Such was the movement of his life, from the traditional Egyptian culture in which he grew to the more secular Israeli culture in which he spent his adult life.
